This work is essential for safety of pedestrians walking on the narrow pavement as cars need to pull in fast due to road being so small

I have lived at the top of Hendre Rd for almost 50 years and every time I drive up or down Hendre Road I cross my fingers that there will not be an accident or an unpleasant confrontation on that journey. I am really surprised there are not more accidents particularly with the ditch in the grass to one side of the road. Thank you for doing this petition, it is not before time.

I moved to Pencoed 35 years ago and the bottom of my garden was reserved for widening then. Many many more houses now so surely this is a must

It is vital that the Hendre Road section is also widened. The road is often congested with cars squeezing past each other. Cars have also been forced into the verge and remained stuck due to the lack of space for cars to pass. With the addition of many more houses in the Hendre area this is a must for the people that live in this part of the town.
