Hendre Road Petition

This petition is to support the widening of Hendre Road, Pencoed.

We the undersigned call on Bridgend County Borough Council to include the widening of Hendre Road in their bid for major capital transport investment to improve multi-modal accessibility within and through Pencoed relating to the Pencoed Level Crossing and Penprysg Road Bridge project.

    Along side widening the road the pavement needs widening. It’s almost impossible to walk along there with a double buggy, especially on bin day.

    A safe crossing near the Deri avenue end is needed – really dangerous when trying to cross with children as you can’t see past parked cars.

    Hendra roads needs widening as I couldn’t help noticing the emergency ambulance they got stuck but it’s blue lights on the other day because he could not get through because no one would give way to him because of all parked cars on his left hand side

    Absolutely needed to allow traffic to flow freely in both directions on the section where the terraced houses are on Hendre Road. Pencoed is a nightmare, full of traffic lights and single flow traffic areas; Hendre Rd, junction at Felindre/Coychurch Road and at the lights to cross over the railway linking 3 roads.

    Something needs to be done its an accident waiting to happen. Hundreds of new houses built in the area with no expansion of the roads that lead to it.

    Hendre Road is a nightmare and should of been widened along time ago. Certain times of the day it’s impossible to pass.
